Noel Ramos, 27, is charged with assault by auto causing bodily injury within 100 feet of school property, driving while intoxicated and reckless driving in connection to the early Feb. 13 crash, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office.

Police responded to the 400 block of Lexington Avenue in Clifton just before 12:30 a.m. on Feb. 13 in response to a report of a multi-vehicle crash.

Officers arrived to find Ramos' 2019 Dodge Challenger in the middle of the road, having collided with another vehicle that was occupied, causing that vehicle to collide with a third vehicle that was parked nearby.

The occupant of the first car he struck suffered bodily injury and was taken to Mary’s General Hospital in Passaic, where he was treated and released.

According to the investigation, Ramos had been driving recklessly with a blood alcohol content above the legal limit at the time of the crash.

Officials said Ramos was processed and released pending his first court appearance on April 4.
