Off-duty NYPD officer, 27, arrested on harassment, assault charges of 'acquaintance'

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An off-duty NYPD officer was arrested late Friday for allegedly assaulting a man in Queens, authorities said.

The 27-year-old cop, Mohammed Hossain, got into a dispute with an “acquaintance,” on Broadway near Baxter Ave. in Elmhurst around 10 p.m., an NYPD spokeswoman told the New York Post. 

The dispute turned physical and the victim suffered an eye laceration.

Hossain was arrested and charged with assault and harassment, according to police.
