NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An officer opened fire on the Upper East Side on Tuesday afternoon as police attempted to arrest a suspect, authorities said.

Cops said gunfire erupted on East 99th Street and Madison Avenue.

No one was struck and no one is in custody at this time, officials said.

The NYPD warned New Yorkers on Twitter to avoid the area due to a police investigation.
