NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Officials are investigating after a man was found fatally stabbed inside of a Brooklyn apartment on Thursday evening, authorities said.
Just after 7 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress at 641 Crown Street in Crown Heights where officers observed the victim with stab wounds to the chest.

EMS rushed the man to NYC Health & Hospitals/Kings County, where he was pronounced dead.
A 40-year-old man was taken into custody, and an investigation remains ongoing.
The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
