NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man was struck and killed by a southbound 2 train at the Pelham Parkway 2/5 subway station in the Bronx on Saturday morning, according to police.
Police responded to the incident around 10:13 a.m., and emergency responders pronounced the unidentified man dead at the scene.
Southbound 2 trains are running express between the Gun Hill Road and East 180th Street stations to avoid the site of the emergency.
Northbound 2 trains will still stop at Pelham Parkway, and southbound commuters can loop around if they need to access that stop.
