NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Mayor Eric Adams was "on the road again" Sunday morning, biking to City Hall on his second day on the job — a day after using the subway to ride to work.

Photos tweeted out by the New York City government account, show Adams riding a CitiBike ahead of some appearances on Sunday morning show interviews.

"@NYCMayor Adams hops on a @CitiBikeNYC en route to #GetStuffDone!Tune in to @ThisWeekABC and @TheSundayShow on @MSNBC later this morning," the account tweeted.

Adams appeared on ABC's "This Week" and MSNBC's "The Sunday Show" and visited a church in Morningside Heights, where he honored former Mayor David Dinkins. His schedule also shows he is slated to hold a roundtable on gun violence in nearby Manhattanville.

The new mayor appears to be making good on a promise he made in late June to city voters to appear all over the city on his bike if he were elected.

"They’re going to see me riding my bike through the city, see me doin’ my own laundry, see me in the supermarkets, see me on the trains — they want to see their leaders again. Leader[s] don’t lead from the rear," Adams said.

Adams and then-GOP mayoral candidate Cutis Sliwa even clashed during an October 2021 debate over his use of biking. Adams also pledged to add 300 miles of protected bike lanes during the campaign.

His latest choice in transportation came a day after Adams, a former NYPD police captain, called 911 while witnessing two men fight on the subway as he kicked off his first full day in office.
