Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez announced Anthony Reyes, 43, was hit with a 43-count indictment charging him with attempted assault, grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, criminal mischief and more.

“This defendant caused mayhem across several neighborhoods when he allegedly stole a school bus and crashed numerous times before being stopped by police. Luckily, he did not cause more serious injuries or death. We will now seek to hold him accountable for his reckless actions,” said Gonzalez.

According to investigators, on Dec. 2 at 1:30 p.m., Reyes stole the unoccupied bus with keys already in the ignition from the driveway of an East Flatbush house.

Officers said the bus was tracked down near the Jackie Robinson Parkway a short time later, with Reyes in the driver’s seat. But as officers approached, Reyes allegedly drove away, even though one was holding on to the vehicle, but was forced to let go.

Within 30 minutes, officials said Reyes rammed into the side of a Brooklyn building and continued to drive before hitting multiple vehicles, some parked and some stopped a traffic lights.

The DA said one of the vehicles was occupied by a woman whose vehicle was struck twice, but police were able to pull her out before the second hit.

Soon after, cops were able to apprehend Reyes in East New York. Stunning TikTok video showed the bus try to ram its way through traffic.

Multiple people suffered injuries of unknown severity due to Reyes’ alleged actions.

Reyes is being held on $500,000 bail and will return to court on March 11.
