NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a scooter driver who struck a 2-year-old boy and fled the scene on the Lower East Side.

The NYPD released images Friday of a suspect in the June 2 hit-and-run.

The boy was crossing the street with his father at Suffolk and East Houston streets when a man on a scooter hit him at 7:40 p.m.

The child suffered abrasions throughout his body. He was evaluated at the scene by EMS.

The suspect took off, but not before someone captured clear photos of him.
