WEST BABYLON (1010 WINS) — A small plane crashed into a cemetery on Long Island Saturday afternoon, according to police.

The Beech B-60 twin-engine fixed-wing, twin-engine aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing at the Beth Moses Cemetery in West Babylon due to engine problems around 1:45 p.m., officials said.

The plane knocked down bushes and headstones as it landed.

Emergency responders brought the pilot and a passenger to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip with minor injuries. No one else was on the plane when it went down.

The cemetery is about two miles away from Republic Airport in East Farmingdale which services small planes.
