NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A suspect is in custody after he shoved a man onto Brooklyn subway tracks in an apparent random attack Tuesday, police said.
It happened on the R line at 25th Street subway station in Sunset Park just after 10 a.m.
The victim did not come into contact with a train or third rail and was not seriously hurt, according to police.
MTA workers helped pull him off the tracks.
Police said the suspect fled the station but was arrested nearby. Charges are pending.
Tuesday's shove came less than two weeks after a seemingly random subway push paralyzed a woman in Manhattan. In that case, her attacker was arrested on attempted murder and other charges.
Other details remain unclear at this time.
