
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- Images released by police Friday show the man suspected of stabbing a subway rider over a seat on an East Harlem train during Wednesday's evening rush.
The 45-year-old victim was stabbed in the stomach aboard a Bronx-bound 5 train around 6:40 p.m.
The victim and his attacker were arguing about the subway seat when the latter whipped out a knife and assaulted him, the New York Post reported.
EMS responded and transported the victim in stable condition to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln.
He suffered a deep wound to his stomach but was expected to survive.
The stabber fled the train at the 125th Street station, police said.
