
NEW YORK (WCBS 880)— An 18-year-old woman died and four others were injured in a Brooklyn car crash early Sunday morning, police said.

The deadly accident happened when an 18-year-old man, driving a 2015 Hyundai Sonata with three passengers, collided with a 2007 Toyota Solara at the intersection of Eastern Parkway and Rogers Avenue in Crown Heights just after 2 a.m., police said.
Two 19-year-old passengers were removed from the Hyundai Sonata in stable condition while the driver and an 18-year-old woman sitting in the rear were transported to Kings County Hospital in critical condition where the young woman was pronounced dead.
The 61-year-old driver of the Toyota Solara was also taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition.
The 18-year-old operator of the Hyundai Sonata has been taken into custody and charges are pending.
The incident remains under investigation by the NYPD’s Highway Patrol Collision Investigation Squad.
