
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 28-year-old man was arrested after a teen was slashed with scissors in a random attack at Penn Station early Friday, authorities said.
According to police, just before 4 a.m., the 17-year-old victim was standing on the platform at the 34th Street-Penn Station of the A, C, and E line when he was suddenly slashed, authorities said.

The suspect fled the station but was arrested on the street shortly after, the NYPD said.
The victim was taken to Bellevue, where he was treated and released for a cut on his forehead.
Charges were still pending later in the morning.
