NYC HOME INVASION: Victims punched, bitten by fake UPS workers; $17K in cash, jewelry stolen

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is looking to identify four suspects wanted in connection to a violent Bronx home invasion that occurred earlier this month, authorities said.

The incident occurred on Thursday, Dece. 9, at approximately 10:40 a.m., at a residence in the vicinity of Nelson Avenue and Featherbed Lane in the Morris Heights neighborhood.

According to police, a 72-year-old man opened his apartment door for someone stating that they were UPS when three suspects pushed their way into the apartment.

Two of the suspects displayed firearms and the victim was punched in the face, officials said.

A 41-year-old woman in the apartment was bitten on the right hand, authorities said.

The suspects took $15,000 in cash as well as jewelry from the residence.
The total approximate value of the property removed is $17,795, the NYPD said.

The three suspects fled the location to a gray four-door Ford sedan being driven by a fourth person, officials said.

The vehicle was last seen travelling on Featherbed Lane.

EMS responded and treated both victims for minor injuries on scene.
