NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- The NYPD released surveillance video Thursday of a man wanted for fatally shooting a 17-year-old boy outside a Brooklyn deli on Wednesday afternoon.
The victim, identified as Graig Bassett, was shot near Saratoga Avenue and Prospect Place in Brownsville shortly before 5 p.m.
Video shows the masked suspect leaving the Ya Ya Deli and opening fire on a sidewalk in broad daylight.
Bassett, of Brownsville, was struck in the chest and died at Interfaith Medical Center.
It’s believed some sort of dispute sparked the shooting, but it’s unclear what it was about or if the gunman and victim were known to each other.
The gunman fled down Saratoga Avenue and was still being sought Thursday. Police believe he's in his late teens or early 20s.
