NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Video shows the moment a man who was stabbed in the chest fought back against a group of attackers outside a Bronx building, police said.

On Sept. 10 at 6 p.m., four men approached a 54-year-old man in front a building near Townsend Avenue and East 172nd Street and assaulted him, police said.
One of the four attackers then stabbed the 54-year-old in the left side of his chest, causing a laceration, according to police.
After a struggle, police said the victim was able to get the knife away before the four men fled from the scene.
Scene video appears to show the victim go for the knife, which fell down on a set of stairs, and shove one of the attackers in order to retrieve it.
The victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

Police only described the attackers as males around 18-20 years old, but they also released video of the incident, and a photo of the man accused of stabbing the victim.
