NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- A thief threw a 76-year-old woman to the ground as he stole her purse at a Bronx bank last weekend, sending the victim to the hospital, police said.
The NYPD released video Thursday showing Saturday’s attack at a Citizens Bank near E. Fordham Road and Jerome Avenue in Fordham Manor.
Police said the victim was withdrawing money from an ATM inside a bank vestibule when the man grabbed her purse and threw her to the ground.

Video shows the woman struggling to keep her purse as the man, clad in a camouflage jacket and blue hoodie, forces her to the ground.
The suspect fled northbound on Jerome Avenue with the victim's purse, police said.

The victim was transported by EMS to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition. Police said she suffered a laceration to her head.
