VIDEO: Suspects sought for at least 8 Queens robberies

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is searching for at least three suspects in connection to eight robberies, targeting victims in the past two months who withdrew cash from various banks and ATMs in Queens.

According to police, the first incident happened on Nov. 14 at around 11:50 a.m. across from the Queens Family Court in Jamaica when a 30-year-old man who was walking was approached by a group of unknown suspects.

The individuals then punched the victim in the face and body, causing him minor injuries, authorities said. They removed $180 and fled through Rufus King Park on foot.

In the second incident, cops said a 16-year-old boy was walking on Nov. 27 across the Charlie & Son Meat Market on 14th Avenue at around 8 p.m. when a group approached him and demanded property.

One of the suspects displayed a firearm, while another displayed a knife. The teen then gave the group his wallet, which contained nearly $500.

The individuals fled southbound on 153rd Street from Jamaica Avenue on foot. No injuries have been reported as a result of this incident.

In the third incident, on Nov. 30, at around 2:30 p.m., in front of a Jamaica building on 148th Street, a 22-year-old man was encountered by an unknown individual who displayed a knife and demanded money.

The victim gave the individual approximately $1,300 before fleeing westbound on 88th Avenue from 148th Street on foot. No injuries were reported in this incident.

Cops said the fourth incident happened nearly two hours later, in front of a Jamaica clothing store on Sutphin Boulevard. A 63-year-old man was pushed from behind by an unknown individual, causing a laceration to his lip and chin.

The suspect then removed around $500 from the victim and fled westbound on Hillside Avenue on foot.

The fifth incident, on Dec. 14, happened in front of a Jamaica Citibank on Hillside Avenue at around 9:10 p.m., when an unknown individual snuck behind a 51-year-old man who was withdrawing money from the location's ATM, pushed him to the ground, causing minor injuries to the victim's hands and right elbow.

The individual removed approximately $500 from the victim and fled westbound on Hillside Avenue on foot. Police said the wallet removed contained multiple credit and debit cards. The individual fled in an unknown direction on foot.

On Dec. 22, around 5:30 p.m., police said a sixth incident took place at the same Citibank when an unknown suspect approached a 49-year-old man from behind as he was withdrawing money from the location's ATM, grabbing his wallet. The NYPD said the incident caused a laceration on the victim's hand.

The individual removed approximately $500 from the victim and fled westbound on Hillside Avenue on foot.

On Dec. 22, at around 5:30 p.m., police said a sixth incident took place at the same Citibank when an unknown suspect approached a 49-year-old man from behind as he was withdrawing money from the location's ATM, grabbing his wallet. The NYPD said the incident caused a laceration on the victim's hand.

Police said the wallet removed contained multiple credit and debit cards. The individual fled in an unknown direction on foot.

In the seventh incident on Dec. 21, at around 5:15 p.m. one suspect approached a 39-year-old man in front of an Apple Bank on Hillside Avenue and punched him in the face, causing a laceration and pain to the face.

The individual removed approximately $2,800 from the victim and fled in an unknown direction.

In the eighth incident, cops said a 61-year-old woman was approached at around 4:55 PM in front of a PLS Check Cashers on Jamaica Avenue by a suspect who reached over her shoulder and removed around $480 from her hand that she had just withdrew from a bank.

The individual fled southbound on 146th Street on foot. No injuries have been reported as a result of this incident.
