UNIONDALE, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — A man slashed a 20-year-old woman’s face at the Roosevelt Field mall in Uniondale Monday, according to the Nassau County Police Department.
The stranger approached the woman around 4:20 p.m. and struck her in the face, according to police.
It was only after she had been hit that she realized she had been slashed across the face, officials said.
The attack left a large laceration on her left cheek. She was brought to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police asked anyone with information on the attack to call the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
