Woman, 60, in critical condition after robbery at Key Food in Queens

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 60-year-old woman was critically injured during a robbery at a Queens Key Food grocery store Saturday morning, according to police.

The woman was standing by her car that was parked in a handicap spot at the Key Food in Oakland Gardens around 9:30 a.m., when a man in his 50s grabbed her purse and shoved her to the ground, authorities say.

Her head slammed into the concrete, and emergency responders rushed her to North Shore University Hospital in critical condition.

The man fled in a white Nissan Sedan, and police are currently searching for him.
