
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is searching for a man wanted in connection to a violent jewelry heist that occurred inside a woman's Bronx residential building, authorities said.
According to police, a 46-year-old woman was on the 2nd floor of her residential building located in the vicinity of Grant Highway and East 169th Street in Mount Eden, at approximately 3:20 a.m. on Monday, July 4.

The suspect approached the woman from behind and struck her on the chest with a closed fist and forcibly removed jewelry from her, officials said.
The suspect then fled on foot to parts unknown with the jewelry which is valued at approximately $31,700, cops said.
The victim was taken to Bronx Care Hospital in stable condition and treated for minor injuries.
The suspect is described as a man, approximately in his 30's, with light skin complexion, medium build, black hair with dreadlocks and last seen wearing a black hoodie, black sweat pants, black sneakers and is known by the name of "Tetere".
