NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A woman was placed in a headlock and robbed at a Queens subway station in the middle of the day this week, police said Wednesday as they released an image of a suspect.

The 24-year-old victim was standing on a platform at the Elmhurst Avenue station in Elmhurst shortly after 11 a.m. Monday when her attacker, said to be a man in his late 20s, came up from behind.

He put her in a headlock and grabbed her cellphone before fleeing the station on foot, police said.

The victim suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention.
