The 35-year-old victim was waking home around 11 p.m. on Sept. 25 when the man came up from behind her, grabbed her by the hair and pulled her to the ground at West Fourth and Charles streets.
The man stole the woman’s purse and fled the area on foot, police said.
The victim was not physically injured and refused medical attention at the scene.
The purse was later recovered near the scene of the robbery, but the wallet and multiple bank cards that were inside were gone, police said.

Less than an hour after the robbery, the man used the victim’s credit card at a bodega about two blocks away at Perry Street and Seventh Avenue, according to police.
Video released Monday by the NYPD shows the suspect buying cigarettes at the bodega.
