Woman robbed at knifepoint in Queens subway station; suspect sought

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- A woman was robbed at knifepoint at a subway station in Long Island City on Sunday, police said as they released surveillance images of a suspect.

The 31-year-old victim was on a staircase leading to the E line at the Queens Plaza station around 5:45 a.m. when a man pulled a knife on her, according to police.

The man threatened and demanded cash from the woman, who handed over $200, police said.

The woman was not injured, according to police.
