Woman shot in face, hand in drive-by shooting on Queens street, 2 vehicles sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are looking to identify two vehicles and their drivers sought after a woman was shot during a drive-by shooting that occurred on a Queens street last week, authorities said.

The shooting happened at 3:20 a.m. on Monday, August 29, at the northeast corner of 20th Avenue and the Whitestone Expressway in College Point, the NYPD said.

According to officials, a gray 2004 Acura TL sedan with four occupants and a 2021 Nissan Sentra were traveling north bound on the Whitestone Expressway when two additional vehicles traveling in the same direction fired multiple times at them before fleeing the location to parts unknown.

A 21-year-old woman sitting inside the Acura sustained a gunshot wound to the face and her left hand.

She was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens via private means, where he was treated and released.

The Nissan was struck five times and no other injuries were reported.

The two vehicles sought in the incident are described as follows:

Vehicle #1: Black colored sedan

Vehicle #2: Mustang with rally stripes.
