NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is looking for a woman accused of slashing another woman in the face twice while aboard a Brooklyn subway train last week, authorities said.

Police said the incident happened on a moving southbound D line train on Wednesday, March 16, at approximately 10:30 p.m.

According to officials, a 33-year-old woman was approached by the suspect who pulled out a knife and slashed her on both sides of her face.

The suspect fled the train at the Stillwell Avenue - Coney Island train station to parts unknown.

EMS transported the victim to NYU Langone Brooklyn in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a female with dark-colored hair. She was last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket, light-colored sweatshirt, and blue jeans.
