Worker among 3 stabbed at Brooklyn deli, attacker at large

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A worker and two other people were stabbed at a Brooklyn deli on Sunday evening, police said as they searched for the attacker.

The employee, a 46-year-old man, was working at the Pedregal Deli at Avenue D and Rogers Avenue in Flatbush when the stabbing unfolded around 5:30 p.m.

The worker was knifed in the chest, according to police, who confirmed two others were also stabbed.

The worker was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. He's expected to survive his injuries.

Additional details about the other two victims, including their conditions, weren't immediately known.

The stabber fled the scene and was still being sought Monday as the investigation continues.

Police said they haven't determined a possible motive for the stabbing.

The assailant appeared to be intoxicated at the time, law enforcement sources told the New York Post.
