NJ Transit driver, 5 passengers injured after minivan rear-ends bus: police

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (1010 WINS) — Six people were injured after a NJ Transit bus was rear-ended by a minivan in Atlantic City on Monday morning, police said.

The bus driver and five passengers were taken to an area hospital with minor injuries after the crash just before 9 a.m. in the area of Chelsea and Atlantic avenues, Atlantic City Police Lt. Kevin Fair told NJ.com.

A NJ Transit spokesperson told the outlet that the No. 508 line bus had 12 passengers on board when it was struck from behind while stopping to let passengers off.

The severity of those injured is unclear at this time.

The bus route travels from the Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing through Atlantic County to Atlantic City.
