The Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office issued a shelter in place warning shortly before 2 p.m. Saturday because of an individual in an inflatable raft on the Minnesota River who was shooting at them.
The incident took place north of Highway 14 near the Kiwanis Recreation Area. At around 2:30 p.m. police indicated over on the scanner that they had shot the male suspect.
The shelter in place order was lifted just before 3 p.m. according to dispatch.
