An early dusting in Minnesota, maybe more Friday night; Paul Douglas tells us more

Oh yeah, it snowed Friday morning in Minnesota.

Not a whole lot in the Twin Cities, but there were some areas up north where folks had to get out the shovels.

The National Weather Service in Chanhassen predicted less than an inch of snow from Fergus Falls all the way south to Winona.

It's a little heavier when you get past Mora and Brainerd.

The snowfall has been moving out all morning, and what's left isn't expected to last too long on the ground.

Snow this early in the cold-weather season is not unheard of, but also not a regular occurrance.

Records show the earliest measurable snow in the Twin Cities was 0.3 inches that fell on Sept. 14, 1964.

More snowfall is expected Friday night, but the forecast calls for dry conditions all of next week, with temperatures possibly getting into the 50's by Wednesday.
