Minneapolis' 60th homicide this year may have stemmed from domestic violence according to neighbors.

Police were at the scene of the fatal shooting Monday afternoon. It happened in the Como neighborhood around 1:00 p.m.

Police told WCCO’s Susie Jones there was some kind of a verbal argument and then the shooting took place. Police took a man in his thirties to the hospital where he later died. The woman was arrested and taken downtown for questioning.

One neighbor WCCO talked to said that he's heard trouble in the past between the two.

“It was a dispute, domestic violent type of thing,” said the unnamed neighbor. “And he always beat on her, all that type of stuff. And I guess she got fed up with it, pulled the trigger on him.”

Police continue to investigate the circumstances. No names have been released.
