Just when it looked like we were in the clear, here comes another snowstorm.
And it's going to be a whopper.
The snow will pick up Monday into Tuesday.
"The highest totals, which could be on the order of six to ten inches, are expected to be in the north metro, and then into western Minnesota, off onto the western border," said Tyler Hasenstein, forecaster at the National Weather Service bureau in Chanhassen.
The area that will get the heaviest snow is expected to stretch from the southern edge of the Twin Cities metro, north to Mora, and west to Alexandria.
"It is not entirely unusual," said Hasenstein. "This type of thing usually happens at least once every few years. For us Minnesotans, not really a surprise."
