The likelihood of legalizing recreational marijuana in Minnesota moves forward on Monday.
The state House of Representatives votes on a bill that would make pot legal in Minnesota.
The measure would also expunge the record of those convicted of crimes relating to cannabis.
"At the same time we will be setting up this legal marketplace, doing rulemaking, settng up a regulatory agency so that people can be very confident that the cannibas they are consuming is safe," said DFL state Representative Zach Stephenson, who authored the legislaton.
According to Stephenson, the bill is very likely to pass in the House, but its future remains uncertain in the Senate.
