
Minnesota House and Senate negotiators have finalized a bill that would allow recreational marijuana to become legal as early as this summer.
Under the plan, marijuana products sold in the state would be taxed at 10%, with the revenue shared between local governments and the state.
Burnsville DFL Senator Lindsey Port shared that her hope is to have a final "conference committee report" within the next day or two.
The final draft is now set to go before both houses of the Legislature for a final vote.
Lawmakers are hoping to have their work wrapped up by the end of the week, even though the adjournment deadline isn’t until Monday.
