
Updated 6:20 p.m. — We now know the identity of the boy who was stabbed to death inside Harding High School last week.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s office say it was 15-year-old Devin Scott who was stabbed by another classmate shortly before noon on Friday.
Scott was transported to Regions hospital, where he later died. Charges have not yet been filed against the suspect, who remains unidentified.
Classes at Harding were canceled for today and tomorrrow.
Original story — A tragic day in St. Paul where a student was stabbed to death at school.
It happened at Harding High School on the city's east side around noon. St. Paul police spokesman Sergeant Mike Ernster explains what officers found when they arrived on the scene.
"When officers arrived, the located school staff members providing first aid to a juvenile male with apparent stab wounds," says Ernster.
St. Paul school superintendent Dr. Joe Gothard posted a video on social media.
The juvenile who was stabbed, a 15-year old male, was later pronounced dead at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
A 16-year old male is now in the custody of St. Paul Police. Both were students at Harding High School.
Ernster said the investigation, and motive, are still under investigation.
