Brooklyn Park police say someone fired shots at an officer last night during a call to a home on Maplebrook Parkway. It happened just before 9:00 p.m.
Officers say they responded to a call for shots fired, and began checking the area, and that's when someone shot at an officer and hit a squad car. The officer was not injured.
They say a man inside the home did shoot and kill himself, and officers did get a woman out of the home safely.
Police say the investigation will continue.
