It's a done deal.
Former MLB star Alex Rodriguez and tech entrepreneur Marc Lore have finalized the purchase of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Several outlets are reporting that the $1.5 billion dollar deal has been agreed to by ARod, Lore, and current Wolves owner Glen Taylor.
The purchase, which also includes the Minnesota Lynx, will still need to be approved by NBA owners.
There were concerns the new owners would intend to move the Timberwolves, but during an interview with WCCO's Chad Hartman last month, Taylor said the deal has a provision that ensures the team will stay in Minnesota.
