Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor says he's 80% sure the deal will get done to sell the team to a group that includes former Major League Baseball star Alex Rodriguez.
Taylor joined WCCO's Chad Hartman Tuesday. Taylor says terms have been agreed to, and it's just a matter of lawyers checking all the boxes and the NBA approving the deal.
So what about concerns that A-Rod and company will move the team?
"Number one, we have it in the contract (that the team stay in Minnesota), they have signed the contract," Taylor said. "Let's just say that somehow they were able to break that agreement, the real agreement is with the NBA. The NBA will not approve of the Timberwolves moving from here to Seattle."
Taylor also confirmed that the sale price is $1.5 billion.
