
In a major win for LGBTQ political representation, longtime advocate Sean Meloy has been elected chair of the Democratic National Committee’s LGBTQ Caucus. A Pennsylvania native, Meloy has spent his career pushing for queer rights—from local organizing to national strategy with the Victory Fund and the DNC.
Now, he’s stepping into a leadership role at a time when LGBTQ rights face renewed attacks. Meloy says he's ready to mobilize voters and fight back against efforts by Trump and Republicans to roll back hard-won progress.
