Sabrina Carpenter made a splash—literally—at the 2025 MTV VMAs last night!

The pop star rose out of a manhole onstage at New York’s UBS Arena to perform her latest single “Tears,” marking its live debut.
The theatrical number featured drag performers, protest signs supporting trans rights, and a dramatic rain-soaked finale.

Later, Carpenter took home the award for Best Album, thanking her dancers and “queens” onstage for shining light in a world full of negativity.

Earlier on the red carpet, she stunned in a custom red Valentino gown, channeling full Jessica Rabbit glam.

Carpenter’s new album Man’s Best Friend dropped August 29 and follows her Grammy-winning year with Espresso.

Sabrina’s not just playing the game—she’s rewriting the rules.
