The onetime substitute for the legendary Yankee Stadium public address announcer Bob Sheppard and analyst for New York Yankees telecasts on WWOR-TV, Ed Randall’s name is nationally recognized and known to the world as synonymous with baseball, held in the highest esteem as one of the game’s foremost authorities by cultivating a winning national broadcasting career. Called one of the patron saints of baseball, an evangelist for the game, he is considered one of the nation’s preeminent baseball interviewers on television and radio, which attests to his regular appearances as a valued contributor on ESPN Classic’s anthology shows and now on the MLB Network.

The wind in the sails of his career, the critically acclaimed television series, "Ed Randall's Talking Baseball," developed an enviable heritage of journalism, the result of more than 500 compelling interviews with the who’s who of baseball. The program aired on various regional sports networks across the country and was seen locally in New York on the MSG Networks.

The series is now available in DVD box sets to the aftermarket for the first time since its original airing at http://www.talkingbaseball.net with unforgettable interviews subdivided by 13 teams.

In March 2002, Randall began hosting the only weekly radio show in the No. 1 media market devoted entirely to baseball, also named "Ed Randall's Talking Baseball."

One year later, he was privileged to have that franchise lured to WFAN, the nation’s leading sports radio station, where the wildly popular program is heard Sundays at 9 a.m.

Randall entertains a national audience on the MLB Home Plate Channel of SiriusXM Radio Channel 89, where he hosts a baseball nostalgia show, "Remember When," Saturdays at 8 a.m.

He is also on staff at MLB.com in its multimedia department as an anchor/reporter.

Thanks to his extraordinary access within the baseball community, Randall wrote his first book at the invitation of Sports Publishing LLC, "More Tales from the Yankee Dugout." The original stories of 75 people presently or formerly associated with the franchise received critical acclaim.

Ed contributed numerous interviews for Donald Trump’s “The Best Golf Advice I Ever Received” for Triumph Books and wrote portions of Larry King’s book, again interviewing celebrities, for “My Dad and Me: Life’s Lessons Learned from My Father.”

His newest entry, “Baseball for the Utterly Confused, was published in the spring of 2010 by McGraw-Hill.

Throughout his career, Randall has been a committed and active participant in many charitable causes. His most important life’s work, though, is as a cancer survivor, having established Ed Randall's Fans for the Cure, a 501-c3 charity born in 2003 dedicated to the proposition of spreading the twin gospels of prostate cancer awareness and the life-saving value of early detection, to which Ed can personally attest.

The charity in 2014, designated as an official charitable partner of Minor League Baseball, hosts prostate cancer awareness nights in more than 160 minor league ballparks nationwide and has organized complimentary prostate cancer screenings with the New York Yankees, Chicago Bulls, White Sox and Tampa Bay Rays.

In March 2011, the charity hosted its first event in the National Hockey League, a highly successful screening held in concert with the Chicago Blackhawks at the United Center.

Randall was inducted into the All Hallows High School Hall of Fame in the Bronx and is a distinguished alumnus of Fordham University, where he serves on the Fordham College Alumni Board.

His real privilege is not sitting in front of a microphone but using the influence and resources that his talent and profession have brought him to impact, enrich and elevate the spirits of others. He has taken the Jesuit message of “men and women for others” to heart.
