Sunday’s game between the Green Bay Packers and Cincinnati Bengals was probably the most bizarre, eventful game of the week — maybe even season when it is all said and done.
The end of the fourth quarter and overtime consisted of five consecutive missed field goals — three from Packers’ Mason Crosby and two from Bengals’ Evan McPherson.
With two minutes remaining, Crosby was set to come back onto the field for redemption on his fourth go-ahead attempt.
But fans in the New York market, who had access to the game when it started at 1 p.m. would not get to see how this would finish.
Instead, per NFL rules, FOX cut to the start of the 4:25 p.m. ET start between the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys.
This did not sit well for many fans in the area who were much more interested in at least seeing how Crosby’s kick would fare, especially because Crosby’s kick happened before the Giants-Cowboys game even started.
As SNY’s Ralph Vacchiano pointed out, FOX cut to show the Cowboys run onto the field before immediately going to two commercials in the time that it could have instead shown Crosby’s kick — which was good from 49 yards to give the Packers the 25-22 win.

Others on social media also sounded off about their disdain for the rule, especially since there was no action even missed in the Giants-Cowboys game.
