The Giants drafted a slot wide receiver in Kentucky’s Wan’Dale Robinson with their second-round pick Friday night, leaving many to question whether Big Blue was looking to move Kadarius Toney.
Toney, drafted by the Giants last year, has a very similar profile to Robinson, and given recent trade rumors surrounding Toney after he initially didn’t show up to voluntary pre-draft workouts, the selection of Robinson seemed to further put Toney’s future in New York into question.

But shortly after picking Robinson, general manager Joe Schoen made it clear that the draft pick had no link to Toney.
"We're not shopping Kadarius Toney,” Schoen said laughing at the question, according to The Athletic.
As for Robinson, Schoen said the team has a “very clear” plan for the 5-foot-8 receiver, and it apparently does not include replacing Toney.
