Last November 7, when the Giants hosted the Raiders at MetLife Stadium, Daniel Jones hit Evan Engram for a 30-yard touchdown pass on the opening drive to set the tone for a 23-16 win.

However, it wasn’t until Sunday – almost 50 calendar weeks and 15 games later – that the Giants found the end zone on their opening drive again.

Engram and Jones were both in this game, but it was Jones hitting Darius Slayton for 32 yards less than five minutes into this game to give Big Blue a quick lead over Engram’s Jaguars:

The only problem? Jacksonville drove right back down the field and scored just as quickly, capping off their first drive with Travis Etienne’s first career TD – and a penalty on the extra point led to Jacksonville going for two and succeeding, giving them an 8-7 lead.
