After the game, head coach Joe Judge confirmed that it was a torn Achilles tendon, so Shepard's season is over.

Shepard was lined up on a second-down play at the Dallas 14 with 1:32 to go, but as soon as the ball was snapped, Shepard took a step, hopped, and fell to the ground holding his lower left leg:

Shepard had already missed seven games this season in three separate absences due to leg injuries, and just returned last week in Los Angeles after sitting out four games (and five weeks total) with a quad strain. He was also questionable at one point for Sunday’s game due to a calf issue that popped up late in the week, but was cleared and caught two passes for 15 yards on six targets.

Shepard finishes the season with 36 catches on 53 targets for 366 yards and one touchdown – a line that has him third on the team in catches and fifth in yards, but the leaders have just 40 (Evan Engram) and 477 (Kenny Golladay).
