Gio: Kadarius Toney officially a 'massive bust' for the Giants

Gio has had a lot of fun over the last couple years with Kadarius Toney’s rap alter ego “Yung Joka” – but he’s not having a lot of fun watching Toney on the field, because the Giants wideout is seemingly always hurt.

That’s the case again, as Toney is not playing in London due to yet another hamstring injury, and it all has led Gio to declare Toney to be one last bust from the Dave Gettleman draft era.

“Once again, he’s not playing because of a hamstring…I have supported this guy, listened to his music, and every time he was down I’d say to give him a shot because he’s dynamic – but now I’m done with him,” Gio said Friday. “I am absolutely done with him. This is a bust pick, and I think Daboll and Schoen are going to move on from him sooner or later.”

There was a lot of scuttlebutt on Draft Day 2021 that Gettleman, who NEVER traded down, made the wrong move in doing so after the Eagles swooped up in a deal with Dallas to take Devonta Smith, likely Big Blue’s target, and trading the No. 11 pick to Chicago was a panic move.

It did net them the second first-rounder that brought Evan Neal this year, but given that the Cowboys drafted the 2021 Defensive Rookie of the Year in Micah Parsons at No. 12 and the Chargers got Pro Bowl tackle Rashawn Slater at 13, it looks even worse after a year and change.

“It was a terrible pick, and they got screwed in a way when the Eagles moved ahead of them,” Gio said. “They ended up with this guy, and I hope he breaks out of it, but he has turned into a massive, massive bust who cannot get or stay on the field – and when he does, the offense doesn’t even look to him.”

And you thought Boomer was down on the Giants with his prediction of 2-11 the rest of the way to finish 5-12? Well, he chimed in, too, and he ain’t Yung Jokin’ about the G-Men.

“I’m telling you Giants fans: you’re 3-1 right now and it’s not going to last. Even your coach said it’s not going to last,” Boomer said. “And I appreciate that. Remember when the Rangers traded everybody? At least they came out and told us what they were doing, and while I was disappointed, at least they’re honest. And I do believe Schoen and Daboll have been that way.”
