Gio says Giants will beat Vikings in playoffs: 'Book your flights for San Francisco'

Is Gio looking to jinx the Giants after clinching a playoff spot, or does he really believe his Vikings are doomed in a hypothetical matchup against Big Blue?

After winning on Sunday, the Giants are locked in as the sixth seed, likely to face the Vikings in Minnesota, where they played on Christmas Eve but lost on a last-second field goal. Gio doesn’t think the result would be the same if they indeed face off in the playoffs.

“There is a decimation of the Vikings’ offensive line…they’re signing guys that have been freshly cut from horrible teams,” Gio said. “Their center, who has been out for a long period of time, probably won’t be back for the playoffs…so you’ll see Kayvon Thibodeaux doing snow angels next to a screaming Kirk Cousins in a couple weeks.”

The Vikings are indeed banged up, as their makeshift offensive line gave Cousins nearly no time to find his superstar receiver in Justin Jefferson in Sunday’s loss to the Packers, as Jefferson made just one catch for 15 yards.
The Vikings have a negative point differential despite their 12-4 record, and Gio doesn’t believe they’re set up to make any kind of noise in the postseason.
So, his message to Giants fans: get ready to celebrate a playoff victory.

“I would start now booking your flights for San Francisco,” Gio said.
