The Giants are going to wait as long as they can to make a decision on their starting quarterback for Sunday’s game against the Eagles.

Head coach Joe Judge told reporters on Wednesday that the decision won’t be announced on Wednesday, or Thursday, or possibly not even Friday, though many expect Jake Fromm to take the starting job from Mike Glennon, who took over when Daniel Jones was injured after New York’s win over Philadelphia in Week 12.

“I wouldn’t expect any announcement until maybe the end of the week, at the earliest,” Judge said.

Fromm took over for the struggling Glennon in last weekend’s loss to the Cowboys, after Glennon threw three picks and completed 13 of 24 passes for just 99 yards. In four games this season, Glennon has three touchdowns against seven interceptions, and New York’s offense has been held below 10 points in two of his three starts.

Fromm, signed off the Bills practice squad, came in for Glennon in the fourth quarter, so there wasn’t much time to show that he would be a clear improvement, but the bar has been set fairly low. Still, that won’t stop Judge from waiting as long as he can to make the announcement.

“We’re gonna watch the guys practice, and we’ll see where we are at the end of the week,” Judge said.
