Kenny Golladay isn’t interested in talking about last year.

After a disappointing debut campaign with the Giants following the signing of a four-year, $72 million deal, the wide receiver says his 2021-22 season carries no space in his mind anymore.

“There were a lot of days when I thought about what was going wrong or what I could do better,” Golladay said Wednesday at Giants voluntary mini-camp. “Once the season ended, I kind of flushed it, and once we got a whole new coaching staff, I definitely flushed it and focused on starting something new. Let's turn the page, and let’s build on now.”

Having “flushed” last season, which included just 521 receiving yards and zero touchdowns, Golladay said it was a no-brainer to show up for voluntary workouts and get a head start on what he hopes will be a bounceback campaign.

“That's how much it means to me, especially coming off of last season,” Golladay said. “I feel like the whole team is trying to start on a good note. Everyone should definitely be here…people are excited and ready to come back in the building. After last year, it leaves a taste in your mouth that you want to get out.”

The entire receiving core wasn’t present at the workouts, as Kadarius Toney, coming off of a disappointing season of his own, has not shown up and has not received a new playbook for the season. Golladay hasn’t spoken with Toney in “a while,” but anticipates that happening soon as the veteran receivers try to get through to the sophomore and former 20th overall pick.

“I haven’t talked with him. I’m trying to get everything in order myself in terms of learning the playbook…a lot has been on my plate,” Golladay said. “But I’m pretty sure if I talk to [Sterling Shepard] and we holler at him a little bit, he would definitely listen to us.”
