The Giants have been waiting for Kayvon Thibodeaux’s breakout game…and the rookie might just be having it in their biggest contest of the season down in DC.
After a big first quarter with three tackles for loss, Thibodeaux started the second with a strip sack of Commanders QB Taylor Heinicke inside the Commanders’ 10 – and he then scooped up the fumble in the end zone for a score that made it 7-3 Big Blue:
Thibodeaux entered the game with one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, two sacks, and just one tackle for loss in 11 games as a rookie, but he added the Grand Slam on one play in a big spot.
